WATERLOO REGIONAL POLICE SERVICE – THEIR MORAL AUTHORITY IS GONE

HOLLYWOOD NORTH?

This will be an unusual posting in that it is not about the environment in general nor is it about politics in Woolwich Township directly affecting the local environment. It is about the utter failure in leadership and decency within our police service. It is about more than the treatment of women by we pray a minority of males with authority within the service. It is about the institutional failure from middle management right up to the Police Chief over a period of decades and how it has intentionally turned a blind eye to the treatment of their female employees by ignorant and abusive males.

The irresponsibility and blame rises further up the political food chain than just multiple Chiefs of Police. Here in Ontario and Canada we are supposed to have civilian oversight of our police forces. That oversight is exercised through the Waterloo Regional Police Service Board. They can be Googled to find out who exactly the seven members are.

I will advise that three of them are on Regional Council namely Ken Seiling, Tom Galloway and Karl Kiefer.

Three of them are appointees of the province of Ontario. The last is a civilian appointee determined by Regional Council. It is my opinion that the local members, at least, are all good old boys and sometimes good old girls.

They can be depended upon not to rock the boat of which the proof is in the pudding.

Female police officers have gone to them in the past for help including Kelly Donovan with her Fit4Duty.ca – The Ethical Standard” campaign. In other words our police force reports both to the province and most importantly to our local senior level of government, the Region of Waterloo.

I am in the process of reading the Affidavits of three female and one male police officers, namely Shelly Heinrich, Vera McKenzie, Karin Eder and Barry Zehr.

Their Affidavits go far beyond merely being powerful. They are a damning indictment of human (mostly male) stupidity, arrogance, cowardice and abusive behaviour. They are a damning indictment of written policies, laws and regulations that are totally and completely ignored by those in positions of authority to enforce them.

On the right side of the Elmira Advocate I have a link to the Cambridge Advocate, run by Debbie Vitez. Once again Debbie has courageously stepped up and posted about this issue involving all of Waterloo Region and hence Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and the Townships. I believe that she has links to these Affidavits and more in her posting of last evening.

One other point for those of us with pro union and or left wing slants. Just like the abysmal behaviour of the union at the City of Waterloo twenty years ago regarding female discrimination in their public works department of which I was involved; the police union have only added to the problems according to these and other Affidavits.

The union, known as the Waterloo Regional Police Association, have consistently refused to protect and assist all their members. They too have the bizarre idea that dues paying female police officers aren’t real members and or worthy of equal treatment.

I thank you Alan for your enlightening comment here. I also have to say that had this despicable activity been stopped right where it started we would not be in the situation we are in today regarding these three women and one male. It is also interesting to note that ONE male has been brave enough to enter into this situation.
Part of the cause and I say only part is based on our society today…Years ago when things like this happened, it was swept under the carpet and not talked about..Now we are more open and want to let the public be aware of the things that go on within workplaces that we think would be secure. The fact that these allegations have now been made public and right now the finger pointing is with the Waterloo Regional Police Force, I have to ask, does it stop there? No! I am sure it doesn’t..I am sure there are many workplaces where vile words are spoken against both men and women, actions are done that are unjust to the victims and if this is reported to authorities, the victims are made to feel that they are the cause of these indiscretions. So what happens…It happens again, and again and again until finally someone says ENOUGH and takes action..I applaud these people for speaking out, and I too have read the affidavits and i believe the things that are alleged by these people are damning and a true show of human stupidity on the part of the persons who have been named in the affidavits.
I shall sit back, listen to both sides and base my final conclusion once things have ended.. I hope that a court case for this ensues so that the public can attend and be made aware of just how these actions were let go on and on and that no action was taken at the time.
When I was growing up if I did something that was not appropriate, I was disciplined as soon as the action happened or when what I did was found out by my parents. This has taught me in life that RESPECT is NOBLE and DISPICABLE BEHAVIOUR needs to be dealt with when it occurs or it will continue just like a VIRUS

Interesting Thinker – for those of us that have attended Council meetings over the past few years – to me the same thing is going on there.
The same person is involved in two situations there as in this Police issue.
People – don’t just sit back & let this play out – pay attention to what is going on here in our City & now this Police suit. Get all the information you can and know what is happening here in our City.
And be prepared for 2018 election. Lots to be considered here for sure.
Thanks to Debbie for this site & Alan for wise comments.

I read today Carl Kiefer was a secret ballot choice. Go figure. Regional council member Jane Mitchell says “it’s time for change” speaking about the police board. I believe career politician Carl Kiefer needs to pack it in. What did he ever do to get the dam rebuild in Preston moving? Over the years I have seen Carl show up at events, get his picture taken, get interviewed and take off. Press, press, and more press especially during election years. In fairness I believe in the beginning he was involved more but over time and moving up the later he has become a politician that has an agenda. I saw what he did in 2010. I feel he wants to be mayor some day but can’t beat Doug. Doug has been critical of Carl in the past. I am not hearing kind words about Tom Galloway these days. He may yet be hung out to dry for the gang. I can see 2 more women entering the board this year. I also read today how our P.M. is going to address women’s rights on the world stage. Hello!! Maybe the P.M. should have someone in Ottawa come to our region for a few days to investigate what is going on with our police. Sadly, the good cops here are being lumped into the same grinder as the ones listed in the affidavits. The coffee shops are buzzing with talk of this case. What a perfect year for an election. The Regional Chair must be looking for cover. Damage control is coming up everywhere about this case. Watch for finger pointing, false news, and phoney measures to improve to pop out in the media. I have no pony in this race but if I was a betting man I might side with 237 pages of paper. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention 2 council members are hero’s to 2 out of 10 people in a simple poll. Rumors of a protest in front of the police headquarters keep popping up. Interesting. Remember…the Titanic was billed as unsinkable. Let’s all have a nice day and do our best to improve our world. By the way; what has our Mayor of Cambridge done to fix the drug problems here in the capital of fentanyl?

Waterloo Region has always been a little strange when it comes to policing. Remember Chief Sid Brown and the two chiefs are better than one days? This region and its policing make the Stasi look like amateurs when it comes to secret maneuvering. With a budget of 160.9 Million versus the City of Cambridge budget of 125 million you would think we could get quality public servants but then again this is what you get when you have nepotism and pension grabbing ex-cops on council. God Help the taxpayers of Waterloo region but maybe the people actually get what they deserve.

They got rid of Sid Brown after the equivalent of the Police SWAT team raided the Henchmen’s Motorcycle Club on Highland Rd.. They tore it apart looking for drugs and found a couple of joints only. Oh yeah and it was a rented building they tore apart. Then the cops photographed the Henchmen on their knees, hands handcuffed behind their backs, being bitten by police dogs, in the police station. That photograph made the front page of the K-W Record and the scandal was off to the races. Don’t forget that the current Deputy Chiefs all undermined the new out of town (Toronto) Police Chief (Sid Brown). Not a good history! Not a good environment!

I tried to raise concerns about systemic corruption in the Waterloo Regional Police force in 2013. After an illegal raid and search on my apartment, that got me evicted. The illegal raid of my apartment, had nothing to do with me, it was regarding my stepson, to which I see very little of. He needed a place to stay for a month, so I let him stay. Within two weeks, I had almost half the police force spend 6 hours searching my apartment, without providing me a written copy of the warrant.
After the raid, and my subsequent eviction, I was then put under intense surviellance by the Waterloo Regional Police, they sat out in front of my house, they were taking my garbage. I contacted every member of Waterloo Regional Government to complain, which of course fell on deaf ears. So, I then tried to go to a town council meeting to get my ten minutes.Due to the anger in my email, they refused to let me speak to council, I threatened a civil suit (as the women are doing now) to expose the corruption, I was promptly banned from every courthouse and Government building in the Waterloo Region for a year, ironically enough, the exact amount of time you have to file a civil suit.
It’s now 2018, I have lost everything I own right down to my clothes, and I’m now on bail, as I was arrested, for ironically enough threatening police, uttering death threats two counts, over Twitter. My first problem with council, was the fact that they suspended my drivers license in 2012, after months of surveillance on my person, my drivers license was suspended for an apparent liquor violation fine I got in July, of 1990, 22 YEARS later, and ironically after months of police surveillance. I was then relentlessly pulled over by the police, constantly harassed and ticketed. These tickets, ended up more than doubling my insurance rates, I had an almost perfect driving record for 26 years, I relied on it for a job.
Needless to say, I’ve been out on bail now for 8 months, and I’m still waiting for a trial, I have never commited any crimes, nor did I violate any traffic laws, but, once you’re in the sights of the Good Ol boys club, you can pretty much consider your life over, they will persist until they destroy you, which is exactly what they did. I refused to pay the apparent fine from 22 years ago and kept driving without a valid drivers license and sticker, because I’m not paying for outrageous police budgets,a new court house and I’m definetly not paying the Government to be relentlessly harassed by police. I have once again, lost everything, I’m 48 years old, living at home with my mother, because they took the one thing I relied on for a job. I now have over 30 thousand dollars in fines, they put a lien on all my property, put me in jail for 3 weeks without a bail hearing, and the duty counsel appointed, spent three days trying to coerce me into pleading guilty, and I refused. I was convicted of traffic offences from a brantford court, while i was in custody, that’s where I got the 30 thousand in fines.
I now have a legal aid lawyer, who refuses to do anything, he won’t appeal the convictions, as he won’t go to Brantford, on legal aid money. the entire system is corrupt, from the politicians, right down to the duty counsels and legal aid lawyers, they have turned the entire Justice system and highway traffic act, into a cottage industry for themselves. I’ll never have freedom again, for the rest of my life, I have been made a slave, as if i go back to work, which is being forced into public transit, to a minimum wage temp job, to which the Government will take 65% of my wages until the 30 000 dollars in fines is paid, no income tax, no GST, nothing, I’m a slave, for the rest of my life, and I never committed a crime.
Nobody will help, nobody will listen, and they seem to be reluctant on going to trial, so as a judge can read the e-mail I sent the Government, proving the systemic corruption and harassment. I was a PDI home inspector, for Fernbrook homes, now, I’m nothing but a meal ticket.

What you said was true Al. Also Sid was here to get rid or disperse of the bikers. A Police State mentality. Numerous other items we won’t discuss. The mentality. This is the problem. You can see it on our council. I feel cops and teachers should be shunned by voters. Impaired driving, police environment, and attitude of entitlement. Do we need to hear more? My sympathy goes to the good teachers and good cops. Tainted by what we have been seeing for years now. Frank saying he won’t change, tells it all. These people take from our communities and keep taking. All the hard work good people in our communities do are gutted by greed and self entitlement. Of course I want the perfect world but never will get it. That doesn’t mean we can’t and shouldn’t hold all scum bag, vial, low life people accountable. Good grief… so many others could be included here. It is written that end times will become intolerable. I feel like we are at the door and I just want go back to bed. Maybe I can make changes as ward 6 council member this year even if someone is talked into running like in 2010.

Why Ward 6 Tom? – we need you in Ward 1. We have a loser. Allowed the tech towers to go up in Hespeler – two of them – too close to homes. And they could have been put on City property & the City would get the very good rent. We showed her & talked to her about it – the next thing we know they are up & done!!!
So we sure hope someone decent runs in Ward 1. Someone that doesn’t snuggle up to you know who all the time. Maybe other times – who knows?? Who cares!!
Looks like we will need a bunch of new Councillors & for sure a new Mayor – please help us out there. Need new management for sure.

Well voting is very interesting…and we are in an election year once again…both Municipal, Regional and Provincial. The problem here is that people just ‘don’t care’ when it comes to Voting. People don’t realize just how precious it is living in a country where we are allowed to exercise our Democratic Right. If that right were taken away from them they would be the first to complain. It is up to everyone to get the word out. Vote..have your say..it doesn’t take long. And as for getting a new Councillor in Ward !? Well we will see..maybe someone will surprise you and take up the torch and challenge that Councillor by running

Another policeman is charged. I suggest we clean house of these kind of people and bring some form of order to the force. This is both embarrassing and costly to taxpayers. I was very surprised our local M.P. has not replied to the turmoil in our region. Bad apples need to be tossed out and replaced. Mr. Larkin has made matters worse along with that lawyer and they need to backtrack their comments.

I didn’t know where or how to put this out but I have breaking news on PIZZAGATE. This involves some of the most powerful people in the world involved in acts of pedophilia, eating children, human trafficking, Satanic torture and murder. It is not for everyone and is terribly frightening. Google Pizzagate if you dare. The mainstream media is trying to cover this up because of those involved. I know this is not what the Advocate is about but I had to bring this forward to show what is going on underground. You can find more on a website called Infowars.com I apologize in advance if it is found to be a wrong thing to have disclosed. It involved nearly every country in the world and their leaders, even the Vatican. You can remove this if you wish Deb but you heard it here 1st.
