Well done Deb for posting these links to CKCO-TV Kitchener and well done to them for covering the Affidavits and the story. Just when I start to give up on our local media they sometimes come through big time.

You can thank Krista Simpson. After Larkin lied to her about Deb Bourne, she has been determined to expose truths about WRPS. Respect.

Our boy in blue lied to the media? Aww come on. Next you’ll tell me that Santa Claus isn’t real.

Just got out of the hot tub and am now completely relaxed Al. Probably because I have lived with 4 women most of my life and married to a good one I find situations such as the one police have on their hands presently angers me. Due process is the path of our land and it must be respected. However unfair, biased, one sided, self serving interests often take over and I fear this from the powers that be. So many good cops are at risk here as well as others involved at risk. Seeing this clip enlightens my hopes to fairness and due process for the scales of justice. Too often I have witnessed bought justice. I was angered at some of the comments earlier by the Chief and lawyer but realize it was strategic. Let us all lay in wait for the truth and hope it does not get paid for. See Al, I am relaxed. I look forward to seeing the papers and other media being fair and accurate as they should be.

This lawsuit is a tricky thing because there is so much politics involved. From municipal government (Mann & Monteiro), Regional government (Seiling, Kiefer & Galloway) to the provincial government (3 prov. appointees on the Police Services Board) plus the Police Services Act is provincial and under the supervision of the provincial Ministry of Community…?. All this concerns me. Look out as to who the trial judge turns out to be. There are good ones and there are crocks.

This whole case is very interesting to say the least. Two named in the allegations are members of Cambridge City Council. It is interesting the comments that have been made on various websites about this. Seems to me since it’s women coming forth with the allegations there seems to be some doubt as to whether or not to believe these women.
Now let me propose the situation in another light…If members of the FEMALE force had been say GROPING men in the presence of say other women or mixed company and the MALE members of the force had lodged a suit alleging that the FEMALE officers I wonder how that would be received? Would there be doubt? Would people be saying that that IT MUST BE TRUE? Would there be a shadow of doubt on the MEN who were GROPED by WOMEN? Just another thought about the situation…mind you this is all a made up scenario because I sure nothing like this would ever happen and if it did it would be dealt with immediately and disciplinary action would take place, so it would be unlikely that a law suit would ensue…

Good morning all. Ya , I saw a few sites doing the puppet protecting dance. I guess having the gravy spoon given to you can do that. AGM…that is exactly what I fear most in all these proceedings is getting an impartial judge that deals with facts not cash. Watch for a judge from outside the region to come in. Kiefer should be grilled for his position in this. He may fence sit as Doug used to put it till he gages the flow. Galloway is the spade here. This could go really bad for him if he makes a wrong choice. Galloway could come out the winner in all this if he rides the yellow brick road of honesty. It looks like Larkin will be digging into the 7 million war chest account the cops have. Why do they even have a slush fund account? This is taxpayer overpaid cash. After speaking with a cop friend about this, leaks will come at a price. A friend told me once that we have the best justice system money can buy.

The news said some things I didn’t know before. Can’t understand why this is not all over the country as hot news. The Premier needs to address this serious problem.

The class action women and myself me with the Premier. She knows, and she knows more than what has been public. So, the public now need to demand action. Everyone is afraid to stand up to these men in power.

I wonder when the puppet paper the Record is going to give equal ink to the women. By far the press has been one sided in this but after all, it is the Record. Matt used to send stuff to the press to be printed. Free P.R. I was there in a meeting with him. Bev Allen his secretary and I got along well and never spoke business. Randy, the Premier is addressing this…she is staying silent. Come spring time things will heat up with outside the force instruments being put into play. Through the grapevine I heard other Police depts. are panicking their force isn’t next. Jobs and money are their concern. I can see myself getting 2 years less a day for “J-walking” soon. I see this case getting a gag order or in settlement a silence agreement. We saw it in Kitchener with the high level justice, lawyers, etc. involvement in the gay sex case filming and ? Yes Regional Council member Carl Kiefer needs to step up and speak out, but that aint gonna happen. Perhaps he needs to be shunned come election time. It’s an election year and he has hit the papers more lately than he did the last 3 years. I love underdogs and people with stones. People like these women are semi-hero’s to me. I loath corruption and power hungry bastards that steal the life blood out of our communities. I paddle a different canoe and always will, similar to these people. I even turned my back on my brother for being a thief and a crook so not supporting the actions of bad cops is a no brainer. I have a sign over my house that says “We don’t dial 911 here”. Go figure. This shit in society has to end. Maybe for me it will be sooner than later but I’II do it my way. Make a choice people…lead or be led. The Police State is alive and well.

Gee Kelly – we have the same situation at Cambridge Council. Oh, darn, just realized 2 of them are involved in your suit – very interesting.
It is the same with Council – people just don’t know what is going on behind the scenes. And don’t get involved as they should.
As far as Cambridge is concerned – VOTERS BETTER WAKE UP FOR THE 2018 ELECTION. ONLY VOTE PAPER BALLOT if you want your vote to go where you marked it.
Electronic voting can be fixed. WAKE UP CAMBRIDGE!!!

Good grief! Now the P.C. candidate Pat Brown has allegations levied against him and he stepped down. This is everywhere. Police, doctors, coaches, politicians, bosses, and it keeps growing. Our Premier has come out and applauded the women that came out against Brown but has not said a word of support to those that have come forward in this Region’s Police case. Strange.

Alan Marshall January 25, 2018 at 10:27 am

I worry about a backlash. While I believe the allegations in general from many different directions and sources, I fear that if one or two turn out to be false they could be used to taint all the legitimate claims of reprehensible behavior.

    Questioning January 25, 2018 at 12:20 pm

I agree with you Alan…I just hope that the allegations that this region is dealing with does have the ‘teeth’ to put a ‘bite’ into this ongoing problem. It is interesting that I chatted with a fellow who took his son to a Council meeting a while ago and at some point the son turned to his dad in Council chambers and pointed to one of the Councillors and said that he was a bully…Seems very interesting that a child can recognize a bully but other members of his own peers don’t see it…so in a way it makes me think that these allegations against him are not false at all

You made an eye opening point Tommy – Liberal Wynn is praising the 2 girls with stories against Brown – but exactly where is she in praising the 5 women that have charges against the Waterloo Police – isn’t this interesting.
Very lopsided and very very obvious!!!
Hmmmm – Brown’s problems seem to run along with the Election – doesn’t it!
Wynn – you are very obvious.
This sounds like a plot against the PC & Brown is paying for it.
We’ll see what this outcome is.

Donna Reid did not sign the paper as others did with the board they are on. Therefore down the road one might question if she supports the statements even though she agreed with them verbally. I am surprised she has not been front and center on this issue at council and asking for Mike and Frank to step away from council as Margaret Barr stated in todays Record. At the very least they should think about a conflict of interest on any vote relating to women. It will be very interesting to see, if Donna beats the same drum as she did with Mr. Devine if any allegations against these 2 ex-cops are true. I don’t know how lifting a skirt or calling women split tails is not an offensive action but their day in court to explain is coming. Perhaps stepping away is best. Yes, these are only allegations and they are innocent at this time but if found guilty the axe should drop on all and Donna should be front and center at council in defence of these women. It is possible that all these women and the man cops are lying about everything in this case. Maybe the photo of the penis was a banana, or the wind blew the skirt up; who knows? The only thing we have is to allow this case to be judged fairly and in accordance with our judicial system. A gag order or withholding evidence to the press and public will not be acceptable. The truth must be told. Has anyone heard what Dyke or the mayor thinks? Looks like a nice weekend is coming. Enjoy.

  15. mjqsmith@bell.net'
    Maggie January 27, 2018 at 1:26 pm

Well that’s easy – re Dyke – he will only think what the Mayor tells him to think as he is an overpaid non-thinker.
    End of story!
