Citizens of Cambridge deserve better in mayor’s seat by Thomas Vann

I’m guessing Al Coates regrets writing his letter, “Top job should go to someone who lives in Cambridge.”

Since Al’s letter, Doug Craig’s campaign group imploded by showing on Craig’s campaign website a photo shot at the new bridge where mayor candidate Kathryn McGarry was removed and an unknown lady inserted.

Craig tells us he didn’t know about it. If that is true, I have to wonder what kind of people are associated with Craig’s campaign. Maybe they’re all drinking the water Coates is talking about.

Sure, Ben lives in Toronto, but Kathryn doesn’t live in Ayr as stated. Perhaps Mr. Coates has forgotten about the hundreds of millions of dollars McGarry brought into Cambridge as well as the vast number of committees Craig appointed her to over the last 18 years.

Coates mentions Ben and Kathryn sport local political/history baggage, but nothing about Craig’s. Where have you been for the last five years Mr. Coates, Moncton?

The citizens of Cambridge deserve the best choice for mayor period, Mr. Coates. I believe that is coming soon, sir.

    Yes we do deserve better.
Mayor Craig saying he didn’t know about ‘Photogate’.. I really have a hard time believing that lie.
If he didn’t know about something like that going on in his ‘camp’ as far as I am concerned he does not deserve to be Mayor of this city for another four years.
What other things have come across his desk that he has rubber stamped that he would clean he didn’t know about?
Now that is something to really think about.
On October 22 cast your ballot and make your voice heard.

Not hearing any pity for the mayor and his henchmen on his team. He turned a lot of votes against him with this stupid move. I see Tucker has signs blocking McGarry’s and you have to wonder why. I figure the mayor knows. Poor business man quality and lives 4 blocks from me. He won’t get my vote.

No pity for Craig – we are truly fed up & he has shown his true colours.
And he is a buddy of Durocher, Chamber of Commerce – did craig put him up to those disgusting interrogation questions for those running for Council & Mayor.
Durocher should be asked to step down or be fired. His questions were definitely out of line.
Good for McGarry refusing to answer & credit to Sandy (Sandra) Faulkiner for her letter in the Times.
    Durocher needs to step down.

This mayor is as dirty as it gets in election games. The man should step down for this mess. Pam has to go also. Kirby has made little noise here. What is up with him? Just because you see signs for Wolf here means little. She is not well liked.

l have no idea why Mr. Tucci would put such a terrible picture on his signs. l have to say he looks bad. He really must think the people of Cambridge have forgotten his years on council. My neighbours all feel he is out to help the Mayor by taking votes. l saw on another site an Al Detwisser favors him and says dumb things about other candidates. He makes little sense. Our Mayor should be ashamed of himself for having that bridge picture fixed. His true colors show. l hope we get a changing of the guard. Good luck.

Harold. I have seen Ben on the signs and was surprised he didn’t do a color shot with his family in it. Yes, the mayor screwed up big time and I hear lots of talk about him not being trustable, a dictator, and others. I can tell you that I don’t find him honest nor open. I feel he is losing his capacity to think clearly. People at city hall don’t like him as well as several management people. Not a good way to have your city. I also see a lot of cheap moves being made. To blow up council and start fresh would be refreshing. Save a couple and ditch the rest including the mayor. Time for Doug to retire.

Ha, ha, ha. I see Doug and his team are desperate. His black Ford boy’s are putting his big signs in front of McGarry’s to block them. Four people have called me to phone Doug about the signs. Nope, I’m leaving them. People are seeing how cheesy his tactics are and my letter to the Times was right on the money many are saying. Their tactics are backfiring and I love it. How many others see this as well? I wonder how many at city hall are helping out in this election to support him. This is blowing up in his face and I’m just heading to the coffee shop to mention to the boys to spread the word ’cause they all love Doug.

Yahoo! We are out for a ride tonight. 4 cars of fools will be circling Cambridge tonight and 3 cars Sunday night looking to repair, replace and find the dirty rats. Should be a good night with guns a blazing. Now it’s fun. Even my son in law is coming but not with me he aint.
