A federal committee has recommended against national Internet voting.

editors note:

If the feds and the provinces don’t trust it..

Why are our Elected Officials insisting we use it..?

Electronic voting in Canada

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Federal elections and provincial elections use paper ballots, but electronic voting has been used since at least the 1990s at the municipal level. Committee reports and analysis from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia have all recommended against provincial Internet voting. A federal committee has recommended against national Internet voting.

Some municipalities in Ontario and Nova Scotia provide Internet voting.

There are no Canadian electronic voting standards.

So if our Federal and Provincial elections use paper ballots it seems to be sending a message that MAYBE, JUST MAYBE using electronic balloting is NOT a reliable way to carry out an election???

    OKAY CAMBRIDGE!!! WAKE UP!!!
Think about this…Federally and Provincially paper balloting is the way we VOTE…

LET’G GET BACK TO PAPER VOTING IN OUR 2018 MUNICIPAL ELECTION..

Tell your Councillor that you DEMAND it IT’S the ONLY FAIR way to make sure YOUR VOTE is COUNTED PROPERLY!!!! TABULATORS can result in ‘FAKE’ results!!!

Yes – we need to get the word out. I did send an email to our Councillors but Donna only does what Doug tells her to do so likely a waste of my valuable time. There must be a good reason why Craig is AFRAID to use RANKED VOTING or PAPER BALLOTS. But again we would have to watch where they drive the boxes to and see how long they take to get to their destination.
There are all kinds of articles on Advocate and in the papers against Online/telephone so do not understand the hesitation.

Does no one want an honest election any more? Lets work for an honest to goodness paper ballot vote!!

A paper ballot would toss most of them, then Gary Dyke would be gone. I met many people at the Woodstock swap meet on the weekend. I spoke of the mess our city is in to numerous people. I also wrote down sites to enter from Brantford to Windsor. Guess who I will speak about. A dead issue for some but not me. Take back this city….eliminate the puppets. I bombed out on parts but killed it with web sites. Vann for Mayor, Dyke out the door! It has a nice ring to it. Sung to the tune of “Ring of Fire”.
