Re: Cambridge Drinking water.. Middleton St pumping station Canadian General Tower and Ciba Geigy
Below you will find 3 links.. they include.

A report by Brenda Thompson ( along with others) who took it upon themselves 16 years ago…to try and warn us…” The Public” about the deadly chemicals present in our drinking water..

Only to be annihilated in the press and their lives made unbearable by the Powers that be..
Brenda no longer resides in Cambridge!!?

Personally I would like to Thank All of you…for the effort you made…

Today, we have this Advocate to play out such events..
No more false rumours in the local press..

The second and third links.. Region of Waterloo reporting to the Ministry of Environment.. and an update from
1997 pertaining to the old Ciba Geigy site..Yes it’s still there…

City Hall and the Region are all aware of this..
As are the Ministry of Environment and Public Health

15 Years later.. 2009 …and as this link clearly shows.. Nothing has changed..
VOC’s still present..This is the latest reading at the Middleton Street Well.

*** DULY NOTED.. THE ABOVE LINK  HAS BEEN REMOVED BY THE REGION?? *** after we challenged them!

Some things never change.. But they have too..
We can’t change the past but we sure can control the future..

You the “Public” have to start asking questions and demanding answers..

Ask for test results in writing and the names of the Companies testing our water.
Starting with this person Phil Shewan from the Ministry of Environment suggests below.

From Phil Shewan..

As your questions pertain to the sampling and operation of the wells I contacted the Region of Waterloo and requestedthat they respond directly to your questions. Please note that all sampling records are available through the Region of Waterloo.

For further information please contact

Olga Vrentzos, Manager of Water Operations and Maintenance,

at the Region of Waterloo 519-575-4757 x 3144.

More contact information.. I recommend contacting all of them..

Let them know you are not going to stand by another 16 years while more suffer with a cancer other serious illness’ that could possibly be prevented.

Contact the Mayor of Cambridge
Ken Seiling… Regional Chair..
